Repost: Facebook fights for deceased beauty queen’s privacy

This article from Declan McCullagh at CNET from way back in September 21, 2012, highlights an unfortunate consequence of RUFADAA and privacy concerns. Here, the family of Sahar Daftary sought access to her Facebook content as evidence that she did not choose to end her own life after falling 12 stories from the apartment of her ex. Local police and her family suspected that she might have been murdered, but Facebook refused to provide them with access to her Facebook messages or other content on privacy grounds.
